Badminton North Harbour is looking in to delivering a BWF Shuttle Time Coaching Course in the Term 4 (October/November). This is an International program developed by the Badminton World Federation (BWF).

At this stage we are exploring expression of interest from all interested parties. The course comprises of a 6 hour tutorial and practical sessions which can be delivered as 1 session, 2 x 3 hours sessions or 3 x 2 hours sessions.

Shuttle Time – The Shuttle Time programme is made up of a series of free teaching resources, which include:
• Teachers Manual
• 22 Lesson Plans
• 92 supporting Video Clips

Shuttle Time resources are currently available in 17 languages and allow teachers with limited experience, to introduce badminton related skills, movements and tactics to pupils through a variety of fun games and activities. Shuttle Time lessons are suitable for children aged 5-15 years old and have been designed to ensure that pupils are physically active throughout the duration of a lesson.

Shuttle Time Coaching Course is where the attendee becomes trained to delivery Shuttle Time to children in a school or club setting. This is a practical coaching course, helping new and experienced coaches to plan and deliver fun badminton lessons to pupils aged 5-15 years old.

PLEASE NOTE THAT A SHUTTLE TIME TEACHER IS NOT A CLASSIFIED AS A SCHOOL TEACHER – IN THIS INSTANCE IT IS A PERSON WHO DELIVERS SHUTTLE TIME TO PARTICIPANTS/CHILDREN.
