Auckland Council’s ‘Sport and Recreation Facilities Investment Fund’ today approved $10 million towards the construction of the Harbour Sports Hub Trust’s new indoor court facility in Albany. When built it will house 4 basketball, 10 badminton and 4 pickle ball courts beside the Albany Tennis Centre. All up the project will cost around $22 million so today’s decision from the Community Committee is a very significant step forward for what will be a regionally important facility.
